Effect of implementing mental imagery strategy on nursing students performance, satisfaction and self confidence regarding neonatal endotracheal suction procedure

Mental imagery strategy is an effective educational tool to enhance skill performance especially where real practice limited. Aim of the study: Was determine effect implementing mental on nursing students, performance, satisfaction and self-confidence regarding neonatal endotracheal suction procedure. Quasi experimental research design was used. Subjects Method: Eighty pediatric students at third year, Faculty Nursing, Tanta University.Four Tools: Were used collect data: Students knowledge suctioning, betts' questionnaire vividness scale, student in learning scale airway suctioning observational checklist. Results: Revealed that total scores students' for majority study control groups were unsatisfactory before teaching interventions improved both immediately 2weeks after intervention with higher than group. Conclusion: It can be concluded studied showed a significant improvement knowledge, practice, relation traditional method. Recommendation: Clinical education programs should integrate parallel physical curriculum development performance.
